What are the costs associated with membership?
The costs associated with joining Delta Zeta can be broken down into two parts, one time new member fees and semester dues. One time new member fees include the cost of badge, housing corps fee and initiation fee and are paid only once during the new member period.
All members pay dues to cover costs of membership and events throughout the year. Delta Zeta membership dues are unique from any other chapter on campus because members have the flexibility to pay their dues on a month-to-month basis or in a large, one-time payment at the beginning of the semester. Delta Zeta teaches financial responsibility to young women where they can easily track and pay their dues each semester through an easy to use online system.

What if I can no longer afford the costs of membership?
If a member struggles to pay her monthly dues throughout the semester, she has the opportunity to enroll in a payment plan on a semester-to-semester basis. This plan allows the member to pay partial dues each month and pay the difference at the end of the semester. Our members have benefitted from the payment plan option by paying off their semester dues over summer and winter breaks where they are able to pick up more hours at their part time jobs.
Delta Zeta also awards one scholarship to a member each year which covers the cost of a semester of dues. The scholarship is awarded to a member through a need-based application.

What if I miss formal sorority recruitment in the fall?
Delta Zeta holds informal recruitment events on a semester basis for those interested in membership. Informal recruitment allows potential new members to attend Delta Zeta events and get to know each of our members. Through informal recruitment, you can discover if Delta Zeta is right for you.
If you are interested in attending informal recruitment events post formal recruitment in the fall, please contact our recruitment chair.

Will I be hazed if I join a sorority?
Delta Zeta recognizes that the effects of hazing can have serious, negative long-term effects on members. Hazing is a crime, and it is not tolerated in our organization. Delta Zeta upholds a strict, anti-hazing policy through our national affiliation and through Baldwin Wallace Greek Life.
Learn more about our hazing policy on our Delta Zeta Parents page.

What if I am a Delta Zeta legacy?
If you have a female relative (i.e. mother, grandmother, or sister) who is a Delta Zeta, you are considered a Delta Zeta legacy. Legacy's have a special connection to Delta Zeta because they have heard first-hand how meaningful and long lasting membership within Delta Zeta can be.
If you are a Delta Zeta legacy, please register as a legacy while signing up for formal recruitment. Declaring yourself as a legacy will not put you at a disadvantage while considering membership with any of the five sororities on campus.
If you are an active Delta Zeta or alumnae and would like to recommend a young woman who is going through the Baldwin Wallace formal recruitment process please fill out the introductory form below on behalf of the student and send to:
